The first stage encompasses a comprehensive diagnostic session providing a real ‘awareness’ of both strengths and weaknesses against 12 management competencies – the starting point to identifying the most relevant development solutions. Candidates are assesed again at the end of the programme to provide a true indication of improvement against the original benchmark scores.
Dependant of the outcome of the assessment session, each candidate identifies and attends up to 3 workshop-based development sessions, with a view to either developing weaker aspects of their management profile or strengthening those competencies most important to their job role.
Even the best training course can be a complete waste if the candidate simply returns to work and struggles to apply any new learning. The Academy programme includes 2 sessions of performance coaching to address this challenge. These 1-2-1 coaching sessions aim to get candidates to identify opportunities to implement new ways of working and break down any barriers that may be affecting their performance at work.
Metricate provides self-study material, including interactive DVDs and work-books, in a work programme. Self study gives the candidate the opportunity to improve areas of competence in their own time and empowers them with the material to take responsibility for their own development.
Sustainability is achieved within the business by creating both self and organisational ‘awareness’. For the first time many managers get an understanding of the impact that their preferred styles and behaviours have on others, and how, with slight modification, working relationships might be improved and productivity increase.
