  • People remember a good listener, where as a good talker can sometimes be remembered for the wrong reasons – listen to and show respect for the opinions of others.
  • There’s no such thing as a stupid question and you should never be afraid to express your opinion or even get something wrong. Questions show that you’re engaged and interested.
  • Stay on-track and on topic and avoid any disruptive side conversations.
  • Attend all sessions, be on time and participate throughout.
  • If you disagree with the majority, you will be more effective if you find aspects to credit and praise rather than just criticise.
  • Record your groups’ thoughts, ideas and suggestions.
